Coming back to my familiar haunts, I again visited Big Talbot Island SP and took these. Though I've made photographs here quite a few times, there's enough to explore that each visit yields something new however subtle.

Continuing with the photographs I made of the Rainbow River which was directly in front of our cabin, these were from the water's edge.

A weekend trip to the Rainbow River near Ocala was very rewarding despite cold weather. Even so, there were kayakers and even a swimmer enjoying the river.  Here are some images which will be added to as the several other rolls of film are developed.

Not far from where we stayed, is Rainbow River State Park. There were actually some waterfalls there which seem to be about as rare in Florida as snow. Here are some simple swamp images.

I'm  really enjoying my visit with these old 4x5 negatives taken near where we lived in New York.  Here are several more

Now that I've found my 4x5 negatives that were missing for a few years, I'm having fun scanning them for this blog. Some may eventually be printed, but others were printed years ago in my NY darkroom. These are from Beacon, a river town in New York about 75 miles or so from New York City.

It took a while to figure out how to scan my 4x5 negatives, but I succeeded today. Here are the first four of many that will soon follow. These are from the black dirt region of Orange County, NY.

I am enjoying my traverse through old negatives from my time in Orange County, New York. The principal attraction was the black dirt farmland and attendant tools and crops. Here are three more photographs from that area. There will be a great many more to come!

Huguenot Memorial Park is a beautiful place that I haven't visited in years. These several photographs of dunes were fun to take!

Another from the wayback machine.. my wife's childhood driveway.

Here are four more from 2003. All were taken in Orange County, NY.  For those who wonder why the county is named "Orange", Professor Dr. Google explains: "Orange County was established in 1683 as one of the original counties of the Province of New York. The county name is derived from King William III of England who was a Prince of the House of Orange."

Going through a lot of old negatives I haven't thought about in years, I came across a bunch of them I'm really eager to scan and present here. The first two are of some old, rotted pilings in the Hudson River at Beacon NY.  I'm guessing these were taken around 2003 or 2004, but they might have been still earlier...I didn't label the storage sheets then the way I do now!  The other two are of a farm field and trees taken at about the same time.

When the weather is miserable, but photography beckons, there's always the backyard. Here are some from today, Saturday, December 16th.
