I've wondered about this photograph ever since I made it nearly a year ago.  It's vague...barely there...but still, for me at least, conjures a mood.  It's ghostly, and ephemeral, but invites curiosity about what's behind the fog; the antithesis of the clarity that I typically look for.  This is a negative scan, but I think it will be a toned print by the end of tomorrow!

Minimal, moody, symmetrical, misty, mandala. What were the sounds that were in that moment, I wonder? Very beautiful John.

Oddly, I don't remember any sounds there may have been, although I usually experience fog as nearly silent anyway. This is quite representative of the actual print. Thanks for looking, and your kind comment, sister.

A boyfriend once wrote a poem for me and the only thing I can remember, is the first line. "Misty morning, ringing of the bells." On many foggy days or misty mornings, those words echo in my mind and I listen for the sounds. I like this photo for the same reasons, that I experienced when I looked at the photo of the tent tops. Something about the moment.
